There are some speakers that include a subwoofer as part of the design. So if you get those, then you have it covered. There are some that go really deep, so they may come close. You would just have to configure your receiver to send the .1 channel to your main speakers to make that work. They still won't go as low as a dedicated sub and won't have the advantage of a dedicated power supply. But it really depends on the kinds of movies you watch and if you want the walls, windows and floors to shake, rattle and role.
